Grey Goose In Depth
Grey Goose was created in 1996 by Sidney Frank, the same person who popularized Jägermeister in the USA.
Frank raised the price of his vodka considerably in order to create the "super premium" vodka category.
François Thibault, who developed the recipe for Grey Goose, is a Maître de Chai (cellar master) who made Cognac, and at first many people found it controversial for him to turn to vodka.
Grey Goose is made from French winter wheat, and natural spring water that has been filtered through limestone from the Champagne region.
Frank sold the company to Bacardi in 2004 for $2.2 billion.
In 2014, Grey Goose became an official partner with Virgin Galactic. Maybe you’ll be sipping Grey Goose vodka in space…
