VinePair is looking for a talented writer with expertise in marketing and e-commerce to develop and curate commerce-driven content. In addition to editorially driving VinePair’s commerce content, you will play a critical role in the development of this new initiative at VinePair overall. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong attention to detail, passion for creating superb editorial content, and a natural knack for finding new and interesting products. This position will receive equity. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Some of your duties include:  

  • Pitch, write and produce shopping and market-led stories, ensuring the VinePair voice remains consistent
  • Serve as the gatekeeper of the VinePair brand, ensuring all product recommendations are useful, interesting, and ultimately make our readers’ lives better
  • Cultivate and sustain a network of tastemakers in the commerce space
  • Keep up to date with shopping trends, new products and unique retailers, in addition, identify products to directly sell in the VinePair store
  • Use data and metrics to inform story ideation and creation
  • Optimize content for distribution across email, web and social channels
  • Produce content for various “special projects” and product landing pages


  • At least 2 to 3 years producing, editing and writing content for a similarly sized publication
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with SEO
  • Flawless grammar and spelling
  • Familiarity with wordpress and other content management systems
  • Working knowledge of photoshop and basic HTML
  • Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
  • Knack for finding new and interesting products
  • Strong design aesthetic
  • Must be able to work full-time in our New York City offices
