There are a lot of Amarone Riserva out there with big price tags, and it can be a hit or miss situation on the subtlety, complexity, and structure. You know you want bold, deep, dark, highly alcoholic wine, but always hope this is all in balance. Well, look no further, because this wine is widely available and one of the best expressions of this style of wine on our market. It is deep and dark with blackberry and mocha notes mingling with fresh earth and a touch of vanilla. The acidity is just right, lifting the wine up a bit while still plunging deep into your soul. Pop this with close friends and not at a big dinner. Get intimate, put on some good music, and do a nice meat and cheese plate. This is a special bottle.
