Te Mata Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2022 Review
Hawke's Bay is a region on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island that offers a warm climate with moderating influence from the nearby sea. It's renowned for its red Bordeaux-inspired blends and peppery Syrah, but this Sauvignon Blanc expression shows the potential for this grape here as well. It has aromas of lemongrass and juicy guava on the nose, and the palate brings tart citrus notes and a refreshing acidity. It packs a punch of fruit intensity that's typical of New Zealand, but it manages to maintain great balance.
