Dogwood & Thistle Wine Company Monticello Sauvignon Blanc 2025 Review
Owners Sandy and Erin Robertson make great wine. We’ve reviewed many cuvées from Virginia’s Dogwood & Thistle over the years here at VinePair, but this might be the best one yet. Sauvignon Blanc had an amazing vintage in the Commonwealth, with incredible quality that punches far above its price point.
This crisp expression is crafted by gently pressing the grapes and aging the wine in a combination of stainless steel tanks and neutral barrels. This helps maintain freshness while adding a layer of texture and weight to the palate. The wine opens with bright notes of freshly squeezed lemons and white pepper, while the palate delivers ripe orchard fruit and a river rock minerality.
