Carpineto Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 Review
These guys make a lot of wine, and own a ton of real estate, but they have great land under those vines and their Chianti Classico reflects the Greve meso-climate so well. They chose to keep the blend to native varieties and transfer the wines between different oak exposures throughout aging to get the right balance. The result is a powerful nose and an elegant palate that is a true food pairing wine. Notes of cooked meat, sour cherry and brie commingle among hints of earthy mushroom and rose petals. Oh, and it’s only $24!
