Turley Napa Valley Rosé 2024 Review

Take everything you know about Zinfande- based rosés from California and throw it out the window. This expression from well-known Zin producer Turley bears no resemblance to the thick, cloyingly sweet White Zinfandels to the past. Rather, it brings out the grape’s inherent complexities, with notes like stewed strawberries, tomato leaf, and white pepper. It’s still a relatively full-bodied rosé compared to the lighter Provencal styles, but it is dry on the palate with a structure that makes it great for food pairings — may we suggest a cheese board on the patio?
