Serge Laloue Sancerre ‘Cuvée 1166’ 2023 Review
The name says it all. This wine comes from the specific parcel containing 1166 vines on a hill in Sancerre. The wine sits on fine lees for 11 months, absorbing depth in 600-liter oak barrels. It has a deep, waxy nose with ripe apples, a hint of lemon zest, and river-rock minerality. The palate is gorgeous, with rounded, waxy fruit and bright, mineral-driven acidity.
