M. Chapoutier 'Les Vignes de Bila-Haut' Rouge 2016 Review
This Syrah-based blend balances intensity and structure at a value-driven price point, which is no easy feat. The nose is fruit-driven, like blackberry syrup and bramble, with hints of black licorice that freshen up the aromas. Medium-bodied on the palate, it is structurally balanced, with nice grip, brooding fruit, and peppercorn spice.
