Bacon Cellars 'Bacon' 2016 Review
Yes, there are some aromas slightly reminiscent of smoky bacon fat – which is not uncommon for Syrah-based blends – but there's only a hint. Other aromas and flavors include blackberries and a hint of spice. It’s a bit like a simpler, bolder, juicier version of French, Norther Rhone Syrah. It's not the most complex wine, but it's fresh and lively, and will certainly pair with its namesake, particularly if said bacon is topping a juicy grilled cheeseburger.
