Cairdeas Winery 'Caisléan an Pápa' Boushey Vineyard Red 2021 Review

Cairdeas is an ancient Gaelic word meaning friendship, goodwill, or alliance. It’s pronounced Cardis and owners Lacey and Charlie Lybecker not only chose this as their company name but embraced the concept in their approach to wine. They focus on Rhône varieties in the Lake Chelan district of Washington state while supporting the community and have a beautiful tasting room in downtown Seattle. This red blend shows their skill with it's great balance. The nose is earthy, with brambly berry fruit. The palate is soft and viscous with good acidity to lift the plush fruit.
