Fattoria Montecchio Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva 2015 Review

It is hard to think of an Italian wine, especially a Chianti, not being more enjoyable with food, but I don’t think I would have this wine with a meal. Ok, maybe some formaggio. This Riserva, held a bit longer in bottle before release, dims the lights a little bit, lights a candle and throws on some Color Me Badd with a tannin structure that's like running your hand over satin sheets. Seriously, this wine is under $25 and tastes like it costs three times that, with quiet sour cherry notes giving way to prominent aromas of waxy rose petals and baking spices. Stop reading this, and go buy this wine.
