Bergström Wines ‘Winery Block’ Pinot Noir 2022 Review
This site-specific expression of Pinot Noir comes from the Chehalem Mountain AVA in the northern Willamette Valley. The densely planted vines and sandstone soils here lead to an impressive expression of Pinot Noir. The wine is made with 100 percent whole-cluster fermentation, which adds some intriguing savory notes and structure to the wine. It jumps out of the glass with notes of cranberry, black raspberry, orange zest, and dried herbs. The palate has great acidity and grippy tannins, suggesting this bottle could benefit from a few years of age.
