Bedell Cellars Musée 2015 Review

The history of wine in New York would not be possible if it weren't for intrepid winemakers planting in old potato fields and creating a wine industry from nothing. Bedell will always be one of those wineries at the heart of Long Island's story. This is such a well-structured one with some age on it. The nose is engaging with dark fruit tinged with a hint of balsamic and the echo of oak. The palate is coming along wonderfully, with deep and balanced fruit framed by tannins that are still softening. It could go another few years but with a steak, this wine will shine now.
