Zenato Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2015 Review
This wine is a damn success. It balances two styles in one bottle. It has the deep dark mocha and blackberry fruit of more concentrated Amarone, but is balanced by excellent acidity not letting the very high alcohol (16.5%!) interfere with the profile. I think this is the most balanced extremely high alcohol wine I have ever tried. Get yourself some great artisan cheese and charcuterie and have a night you will not regret. Oh, and stay hydrated. This is so balanced that the alcohol will sneak up on ya.
