Winc 'Folly of the Beast' Pinot Noir 2017
Review
Beware, there is a lot of talk about the madness and obsession with making consistently great Pinot on the Winc site. I am just not sure this is the wine they are talking about. Thin and lean with no mid palate and void of classic aromas, save for a shadow of where once a cherry swam, is what you get, with maybe some savory notes like black olive but it also is a shell of its once-self. It’s as if the high acidity washed this wine clean of complexity. It can have a purpose though; are you a gallerist? This will work for your next opening where the art is more interesting than the wine. That's about the only place this bottle is worth drinking.
