Tenuta Monteti 'Caburnio' Toscana IGT 2014 Review
This wine is defined by earthiness, with an initial note of cherry that then dives into savory mushroom and tobacco leaf and doesn’t look back. The palate hits you with some strap leather and white pepper along with plowed earth; then the cherry note comes back in a more liqueur form. This wine is nice and medium bodied, but the rustic nature of the wine begs for a meat and cheese plate to balance it all out.
