Palmeri Front Porch Farm Red Wine 2019
Review
Winemaker Drew Damskey and his parents, owners of Palmeri Wines, would visit the Front Porch Farm for their blackberries, amazing polenta, and big fat, grill-able peaches. They noticed that the farm also grew grapes. Long story short, they were able to acquire the Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre from the farm and made this wonderful co-fermented red blend. The nose is all focused on brambly fruit and some subtle earthy soil tones. The palate is joyous. Yeah, I said joyous. Because that's the first word that comes to mind when it's on your palate. The mouthfeel has so much balance between the deep fruit, well-integrated tannins and, basically, perfect acidity doing the work of holding it all together. What a great red blend.
