Madroña Vineyards Signature Collection Quintet 2019 Review
This winery's website says it all: “At Madroña, we make exceptional wines that are a simple, yet powerful, reflection of this special place, meant to be enjoyed at the table with family and friends.” The wine does indeed come from a special place, the high elevation vineyards of California's El Dorado AVA, located 3,000 feet above sea level — and this comes across in the wine. It has a welcoming nose with tart red fruit and good earthy feels. The tannins are present, but don’t overwhelm the wine, and lead to a nice finish.
