Matsui Shuzo 'The Hakuto' Premium Gin Review
This modern gin boasts a distinctive and delicate profile thanks to the use of 13 locally-sourced Japanese botanicals, including Nashi pear, cherry blossom, and sansho peppercorn. Before distillation, the botanicals macerate in a base neutral spirit, allowing each of their vibrant and fresh profiles to shine through to the final spirit. While juniper is present, it plays a supporting role, making this an ideal bottle for those who are new to the gin category and may be intimidated by juniper's strong flavor.
