Mary Taylor 'Sophie Siadou' Valencay 2016 Review
This wine opens with smokey sandalwood on the nose along with rich notes of clove and white pepper. This bottle is all about the savory but with some air tight aromas of black currant and black cherry coming around the bend to soften the structure. This wine is a mirror of the lifestyle of the region. So do as they do in the Loire: grab some goat cheese, drizzle with honey, sprinkle with walnuts and cracked black pepper and this wine will shine!
