Kir-Yianni Akakies Sparkling 2023 Review
This wine is made from 100 percent Xinomavro, a grape local to Greece known for making structured and age-worthy reds. But this bottle proves that the variety also lends itself well to other styles, like sparkling rosé. The Xinomavro gives the wine a herbaceous flavor profile, with notes of wild strawberries and brambly blackberries filling out the nose. The palate is juicy, punchy, and refreshing.
