Henri Bourgeois Sancerre La Porte du Caillou 2018 Review
Henri’s last name is Bourgeois and I think that’s really cool, anyway this wine is awesome. From a small cru in Sancerre this is a great example of rosé from Pinot Noir. Mineral driven yet earthy and round with notes of cherry and strawberry, there is also a whiff of white pepper and creme de mint, with the slightest hint of ginger. The mouthfeel is beautiful, with calm acidity giving some weight to the palate and a nice tannin structure making this a great wine for artisanal cheese and charcuterie.
