Fattoria Montecchio Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG 2015 Review
Monetecchio’s Gran Selezione takes the structure and profile of their Riserva and dials it to eleven. The sour cherry notes are more up front, muting the rose petal aroma just a bit, with hints of nutmeg and anise. This wine is a bit rustic, but I’m not mad at it, because all it's saying is "please pair me with a lean grilled steak with a healthy slight drizzle of EEVO and fresh chopped garlic, cracked black pepper with a side of sauteed spinach." It's right. Listen to the wine.
