Fattoria Montecchio Chianti Classico DOCG 2016 Review
When I stick my nose in a glass of Chianti this wine has everything I am looking for, and it’s under $15. Medium bodied with concentrated sour cherry fruit and earth, balanced by good acidity and a nice tannic grip on the palate. It has seen just the right amount of oak, whose role was only to soften and iron out any edges. This wine is all about mouthfeel in the end, it’s rich, but calm and asks you to please fire up the grill.
