Early Mountain Vineyards Rosé 2017
Review
What, a rosé from Virginia?! Trust us, this bottle of wine is the real deal, and made far better than most of the rosé that more famous American wine regions are currently producing. Low in alcohol at only 12.5% this rosé is very old world in its style, and you might even mistake it for having been made in Provence instead of Virginia. There are aromatic herbs and fruit on the nose — and it's a rose that actually smells like wine - which surprisingly is incredibly rare nowadays as most producers are selling anything that looks pink and contains alcohol. The taste of the wine is bright red fruit mixed with roses combined with a “mineral” sensation that coats the top of the mouth and leaves you wanting more. It's an absolutely stunning wine that will stop you in your tracks.
