Domaine du Vieux Lazaret Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2017 Review
At $33 this is a good intro to a wine region that often costs a lot more. It has the smoked herb vibes and dark cherry fruit you may have heard of in relation to these wines, with the juice here showing more of its savory side. The body is nice and easy, with good acidity that won’t weigh you down. Sipping this wine brings ideas like grilled lamb straight to the front of my brain.
