Clos Pegase Mitsuko's Vineyard Chardonnay 2017 Review
Carneros is one of the coolest climates in the Napa Valley, so this wine coming in at a whopping 14.6% alcohol is at odds with this. Assuming this was a conscious decision, although the legal ABV (Alcohol By Volume) is printed at the smallest possible font on the bottom left hand corner of the front label, this wine is a nostalgic example of days past, with notes of toasted vanilla and banana and lime oil under a layer of ether. It is a tough wine to pair with food but will do well at events where wine is not the focus or when you want to warm up on a cold night.
