Chalk Hill Estate Red 2016 Review

Solid wine, big but balanced. The alcohol is high, so the layers are muted and the complexity is subdued, but it hits all the points on the palate. The tannins are in good shape, framing the wine, and the core of fruit is well-defined. It’s still aging but is drinking well now.
