Halter Ranch Winery Ancestor 2020 Review

Halter Ranch is a 2,700-acre organic nature estate dedicated to sustainability and biodiversity. And 200 of those acres are planted to vineyards. It’s all part of founder Hansjörg Wyss' dream to live in the land he fell in love with after leaving his home in Switzerland. Winemaker Kevin Sass, who got his start in Paso in 2006, is at the helm of the winery, making sustainable, delicious wines like this excellent red blend. It has a deep, earthy and meaty nose with ripe blue and blackberry notes. The palate is so damn good with an expert balance of fruit and acidity.
