Bodega Aleanna 'El Enemigo' Malbec 2019 Review
El Enemigo is a side project of Adrianna Catena and her chief winemaker since 2002, Alejandro Vigil. It might just be the best deal on the Malbec shelf. The price is amazing and the balance is as well. The deep earthy fruit on the nose is so welcoming and has a mix of fruit-forward and savory vibes (almost smoky?). The palate is one of the more expressive within the Malbec category. The tannins are soft but prominent, taking a second chair to the wonderful plush mouthfeel. This is a so a case-buy.
