Barboursville Paxxito Virgina Passito 2013 Review
Rich, round, and spicy, with a nice comfy coating of the palate, this wine is pretty damn exceptional and all I can think about is cheese plates when I sip it. Go buy any dope ass American artisanal cheese and watch as this amber hue of a wine calms the proteins, while the cheese amplifies the wine's inherent notes of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and spicy pineapple. Hybrid grapes are what defined American wine for decades and they are especially expressive in passito-style wines. This wine is a great example of how this style can be done well.
