Barboursville Vineyards Paxxito 2019 Review

Barboursville Vineyards is a historic property where the dream of America's original wine enthusiast, Thomas Jefferson, has been realized. The estate was constructed by Jefferson for his colleague James Barbour while he was an elected Governor. Today the Zonin Family from the Veneto in northern Italy carry on the the legacy of fine wine in Virginia. This dessert wine spans both time and oceans giving us a wine made in the traditional Italian passito method in the Commonwealth. The nose wafts with aromas of acacia flowers and honey. The palate is rich and balanced with good acidity and an even finish. This is a wine that comforts.
