The Story Behind The Gin Gin Mule

Legendary mixologist Audrey Saunders created the Gin Gin Mule in 2000 while bartending at the Beacon Bar in NYC. Her recipe includes homemade ginger beer, but your favorite store-bought version will do in a pinch.

A cousin of the Moscow Mule, the Gin Gin Mule utilizes the complexity of fine gin to turn this twist into an instant classic. Fresh lime juice and mint provide clean citrus and herbal notes that combine with the sweetness of simple syrup and spicy goodness of ginger beer to make this cocktail refreshing enough to enjoy on a hot day.
