Tullamore D.E.W. 14 Year Old Four Cask Finish Review
A triple-distilled single malt, this release is finished in bourbon, Oloroso sherry, port, and Madeira casks. The influence of the four finishing vessels shines throughout but never threatens to overshadow the malt character or the evolution of age. Whiskey-soaked raisins mingle with tobacco and leather on the nose. The palate is luxuriously soft, serving more golden raisins, and clove, licorice, and black pepper spice. This is nuanced but approachable whiskey at its neat-sippin' finest.
