Trivento Amado Sur 2016 Review

If there was ever a crowd-pleasing wine that was hella affordable, soft, medium bodied, with nice easy going chewy fruit, and a buoyant acidity, asking for a slight chill: this is it. It’s almost as if Malbec was meant to be a blending grape more than a single variety wine. The deep dark Malbec is lifted up and rounded off by the vibrant, juicy, strawberry tinged Bonarda with the Syrah coming in stage left for some welcome herbal tones. In the warm months this is a perfect chilled red for cookouts and sunsets. It’s under $20, it’s fun, It’s bright and alive, and everyone will like it.
