Thrasher's Rum Queen's Share
Review
An equal-parts molasses and demarara sugar-based distillate, this rum serves up wafts of coffee and black licorice underscored by a kiss of dried apricots and caramel. On the palate, coffee takes a backseat, but all other elements kick into overdrive with resounding depth and complexity. Despite the $68 price tag, we'd be hard-pressed to say you shouldn't reach for this when building Mai Tais.
