The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 12 Review
The 12th edition of The GlenDronach’s Cask Strength line clocks in at 58.2 percent ABV and opens with enticing dried fruit and caramelized nut aromas — which come, largely, from maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. The punchy alcohol content serves to lift those notes and carry them onto a dense, dark berry palate that’s sweet, savory, and suffers no lack of oak character. To all the sherried whisky drinkers with a thing for high-proof drams: Get this limited edition release while you still can!
