The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Review
Producing a balanced rum-cask-finished spirit is no simple feat, but this one delivers. Aged in standard barrels for 14 years and finished in Caribbean rum casks, this single malt whisky packs soft, fruity undertones with molasses notes only ever appearing as a light seasoning from nose to finish. Such a measured approach allows us to appreciate its lively aromas and malt-rich palate. On the finish, there is a hint of rum-soaked raisins, which is a fine way for each sip to end.
