The ImpEx Collection Ardmore 14 Year Review
The ImpEx Collection offers top single barrel picks from the founders of ImpEx beverages. This Highland malt presents wonderful maritime notes accented by just a hint of peat smoke. There’s an underlying pastry sweetness — lemon cake, vanilla frosting, honey — that keeps the Scotch in balance, even at a cask strength proof of 59.2 percent ABV. With only 169 total bottles, the price feels like a downright steal in this day and age for what would tie as our highest overall ranked Scotch in this entire tasting.
