Tamworth Distilling Chocorua Straight Rye Whiskey Aged 8 Years Review
Coming from New Hampshire’s avant-garde “wilderness-to-glass” distillery, Chocorua is a 100 percent rye made from a single crop of organic Maine-grown rye. This is distinctly a rye-forward whiskey — you can really taste the grains and the land and there’s a ton of peppery and gingery zip to it. Unlike their more standard no-age statement release, this 8-year-old has better barrel balance, with notes of chocolate-dipped cherries and caramel syrup.
