Silverado Vineyards Mt George Vineyard Merlot 2019 Review

Ron Miller, co-founder of Silverado Winery, once said, “On the hill, we decided, 'Okay, let's throw a little winery there.' Well, it's not a little winery any longer." Not at all. This pioneering wine family sold fruit to winemakers until 1981, when they decided to take on their own label. Today, they are one of the most recognizable wines in Napa. And even though they are known for being some of the first to plant Cab, their Merlot is nice as well. This is a grippy wine with natural and oak tannin. The fruit depth is minimal but pronounced by good acidity.
