Santa Julia 'El Zorrito' Chardonnay 2022 Review
The Zuccardis have been pioneering and innovating in Mendoza’s wine scene since the ‘60s. Whether it is testing new forms of irrigation or vinifying the country’s first Tempranillo, they have never backed down from a challenge or new idea. This skin contact Chardonnay is one example of their forward thinking. The nose is filled with orange peel and ginger aromas with a slight hint of chamomile tea. The mouthfeel is balanced and refreshing as well as engaging with good fruit depth and a subtle tannin structure framing the wine. The vibrant acidity cuts through the weight making for a delicious orange.
