Rodney Strong Symmetry Meritage 2014 Review

No subtlety here. No complexity. Just a big ol’ alcoholic fruit bomb. It has balance under the layer of heat that hits your nose, but that fruit balance does not tell you what grapes are in the blend. As a Meritage it’s made with native Bordeaux grapes, but it all blurs together with no separation of character. If you need a big, boozy red blend , and don’t mind spending $50, this wine will work.
