Rodney Strong Chalk Hill Estate Chardonnay 2016 Review
The alcohol is high, the oak is sweet and the mouthfeel is big. That’s how Cali used to do it and what gave some people Chardonnay fatigue a decade or so ago. Yet these wines have a place. There are wine lovers out there who want the intense, firm grip of candied banana and pineapple and a kiss of heat. It’s also under $20, so that’s cool.
