Robert Sinskey Los Carneros Pinot Noir 2018
Review
Robert Sinskey makes some of the most prized wines in northern California. He and his father took on winemaking in the '80s while Robert was on sabbatical from a photojournalism degree. When a client fell on hard times and couldn’t buy the grapes, Robert was supposed to stay and help his father for six months — and he never left. His love for wine, and specifically Pinot Noir, kept him in the vineyards. Coming from the coolest corner of Napa, this wine welcomes the senses with floral, cherry, and cranberry aromas with a hint of cinnamon. The palate is focused, with great acidity controlling the concentrated fruit depth.
