Lavinea Nysa Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015 Review

Lavinea is an up-and-coming wine producer focusing on single vineyard site bottlings. This Pinot has a medium, slightly tawny color, and aromas and flavors of cherries, tar, and an herb sachet. The texture is concentrated, showcasing clean fruit and minerals. The finish is long and clean as a whistle. Overall, the character of the wine is friendly but buttoned up. If you like clean, nuanced Pinots that also have a bigger texture, you’ll love this wine. It’s showing well now but will improve with cellaring.
