J. Lohr 'Cuvee Pom' 2014 Review
The ‘Cuvee Pom’ name is a cheeky allusion to Pomerol, an area of Bordeaux where Merlot is the primary grape. At 84% Merlot and 13% Malbec, this powerful California wine is a bolder, fruitier version of its French counterpart. It's a juicy crowd-pleaser with noticeable oak, and flavors that include black cherries, dark chocolate, and allspice. If you're a fan of bold wines and usually find Merlot too wimpy, this wine will change your mind.
