Patient Cottat Le Grand Caillou Pinot Noir 2019 Review

The Loire is more of a Cab Franc region but Pinot Noir can also thrive there. Endearingly called the French Valley of Kings due to the historically heavy population of old royalty vacation castles, you know some Pinot was being grown. If you're chilin' in the court with all your subjects this is a great, easy-drinking Pinot Nor. It has classic cherries and some cinnamon with a slight vanilla note. The palate is a bit savory which is a nice change from the norm with some baking spices and a light texture. Great casual cheese plate wine.
