Murrietta's Well "The Whip" White Wine Blend 2016 Review

Blends like this from the new world tend to be way too much for a palate to handle, with extreme residual sugar, very high alcohol, and overall cloying nastiness. This wine is NONE of those things, and is damn good for what the hell it is. Because of the 13.5% alcohol all the welcoming aromas of honey, pineapple, guava, orange blossom and pear are angular instead of cloying. It’s under $20, and a fun new experience in California wine. Definitely worth a try, although an acquired taste.
